FORMER Leigh Grammar School student Pauline Nevell is now a Loan Star.
She is a long-time member of Stockton Heath Playmakers in Warrington.
But now she is lending a helping hand to old schoolmistress Doreen Johnson, who is directing "Time And The Conways" with St Joseph's Players.
Pauline has taken the role of the journalist in the J B Priestley drama, to be staged by the Leigh company for four nights from next Tuesday.
It will be her second role for Doreen: 12 months ago she appeared in "Dear Octopus". "It's a fresh challenge playing with a different company," said Pauline, who first appeared on St Joseph's stage in drama festivals "several years ago".
Pauline certainly likes to travel!
But Leigh is just a short hop compared with her adventure in the Czech Republic. "Stockton Heath took Alan Ayckbourn's "Mr WhatNot" to Hronov some time ago," she revealed.
Ayckbourn is also in St Joseph's 1997 picture. His "Table Manners" will be staged from October 7-10.
Tickets (£3) for both plays are now available at Boardman's Outfitters, Bradshawgate, Leigh.
