IT was a family affair when vicar's son Andrew Priestly married poitician's daughter Charlotte Ormrod at Christ Church, Colne, on Saturday.
Andrew's father, the Rev John Priestly, conducted the service, and his sister, the Rev Rosemary Priestly, also a minister, gave a reading.
Mr Priestly, a Queen's Chaplain who met Princess Diana several times, said the nation's sadness did not affect the occasion.
Charlotte's father, Councillor Tim Ormrod, was expecting to have to rush from his morning surgery to the church, but his civic duties were cancelled out of respect for Diana.
