ANIMAL magic makers stepped in to rescue two dogs left alone when their owner died.
Volunteers from the Leigh and district branch of animal helpers' charity Petsearch (UK) refused to allow gentle duo Muffy and her pup to be put to sleep.
Petsearch's Margaret Andrew explained:"An elderly Leigh lady died, leaving the dogs alone in the house.
"Relatives did not want the dogs so we became involved. The dogs were in terrible condition but very gentle and good natured."
After veterinary treatment, Bill and Christine Hudson and their daughter, Sally, stepped-in as temporary foster parents until the dogs can be given permanent homes.
Good home offers should be made to Margaret on 01942 882993 or Sue, on 01942 711434.
