STAFF at a local off-licence are celebrating after scooping £107,000 on the National Lottery.

The 13-strong, all-woman syndicate who work at the Co-op Late Shop in Blackbrook Road, Blackbrook, matched five numbers and the bonus ball to net their six-figure win (which works out at more than £8,000 each).

And they came within a whisker of landing the jackpot itself - for they had the elusive sixth number on another line!

The group do the same numbers every week and prior to their big win had managed to win £250 over the year to put in the winnings 'kitty.'

Now they are looking forward to spending their windfall. One of the lucky lasses has decided to bring her wedding forward from 1999 to next year; another plans to get new windows for her house; while several are going to splash out on the holiday of a lifetime.
