A BURNING van left a trail of flames along a road after rolling 50 yards when it caught fire.
The Bedford Midi van came to a halt in Blackburn Road, Accrington, after rolling down Newark Street at10.50pm yesterday.
Leading firefighter Ged Richmond, of Accrington fire brigade, said: "When we arrived there was a trail of flames along the road from the burning rubber.
"The van was brought to rest by the camber of the road. It was completely destroyed."
Firefighters are investigating the possibility that the blaze might have been caused by an electrical fault.
