TOP Labour MPs, including Denis Healey, Gerald Kaufman, John Prescott and Clare Short, were among 22 MPs backing the fight against the closure of Burnley's Victoria Hospital.
More than 4,000 people had signed petitions opposing the cost-saving closure and the town's MP Peter Pike was pressing for an urgent meeting with the Minister of Health.
