THE cost of policing the summer's East Lancashire riots was revealed as £340,000.
The expenditure was mainly police overtime payments during July disturbances in Burnley's Stoops estate and Whalley Range, Fishmoor and Davenport Road areas of Blackburn.
A report to Lancashire County Council's police committee stated that at the height of the trouble, more than 300 officers and 15 support units were deployed.
