THE NSPCC are looking for volunteers to befriend women and children who have suffered domestic violence.
The charity want people who are prepared to give time to help with their 'Starting Over' project, in conjunction with Women's Aid in Blackburn.
Helen Rodgers, volunteer co-ordinator for Blackburn branch of the NSPCC, said: "We want volunteers who can listen to the women and take the children out of the home for a while."
Training will be given. Anyone interested should contact Helen on 01254 605560.
