HAS there been a change in the Highway Code, just for taxi drivers?
For them, the speed limit seems non-existent.
We see them stopping in the mainstream of traffic to let another vehicle out of a side street, but only if it is a taxi cab.
And at a mini-roundabout you couldn't be blamed for thinking you were watching a carousel when waiting to get round one. No signals! The taxi drivers like to keep you guessing.
And if you book a taxi, there's no nice tap on the door to announce its arrival - ust a loud honk on the horn, if you are lucky enough to hear it, from the top of your street.
