HOME improvements company Ultraframe is forecasting record profits.
The Clitheroe company, which is due to float on the stock market later this year, is estimating a profit of £12.75 million before tax and the costs associated with the flotation - an increase of 67 per cent on last year.
The firm, the Ribble Valley's largest employer, has just issued pathfinder listing particulars for the proposed flotation. Full details will be announced next month.
John Lancaster, founder and vice-chairman of Ultraframe, said: "I am delighted that, after 14 years of trading, the company has reached this exciting point.
"And I am particularly pleased for our employees, most of whom are shareholders. Together we are looking forward to significant growth opportunities in the expanding UK and overseas markets."
Mr Lancaster, a former Ribblesdale High School pupil, launched Ultraframe in 1983 to manufacture double glazed windows and doors.
He then moved into the design and manufacture of PVCu roofs for conservatories, and Ultraframe is now a market leader.
