LANCASHIRE Hawks are preparing for a ferocious encounter with Fife Flyers on Sunday....and no-one more so than Bobby Haig.
The assistant captain will come face-to-face with his brother - and ex-Hawk - John, who is always assured of a warm reception on his returns to the Arena!
The double header of weekend action sees Hawks going into battle with two of the northern sections most highly rated outfits in the Autumn Trophy.
It starts with a revenge mission at Kingston tonight after Hawks were on the wrong end of a 7-2 drubbing at the Arena against the same opponents a fortnight ago.
Sunday sees last year's Northern Premier League champions Fife return to the Arena (face off 6pm) for what promises to be an action-packed clash. Manager Mike Cockayne is confident that Hawks found their stride in Scotland last weekend....and that the goals will come. "We've got two very hard games this weekend, but our first victory at Murrayfield last weekend gave us all a huge lift," said Mr Cockayne.
"We should be able to draw enough confidence from our display to give both teams a tough game. We have the capacity to compete at a high level against every team in this league, and we're looking forward to this weekend's games.
"Hopefully a result tonight will set us up for the Fife clash in front of our home crowd on Sunday."
Fife will be straight out on the attack, looking to bounce back from a double defeat last weekend - both against Kingston!
"It should prove to be a real heartstopper," says Mr Cockayne.
"Fife will be wanting to improve on last weekend's performance, and they'll be hungry. We already know what a good side they are, and there will be an electric atmosphere at the Arena."
Jeff Daniels will be itching to show his home crowd what he can do. The Canadian forward bagged a hat-trick last Sunday at Murrayfield, but he will be keen to give a repeat performance in front of a packed Arena. Lee Cowmeadow is ruled out of both weekend games with a groin injury.
