LANCASHIRE League champions Haslingden have signed Hamish Anthony as their professional for the 1998 season.
The West Indian pace bowler was instrumental in helping Haslingden to a famous league and cup double last season after acting as sub professional for several crucial fixtures following the mid-season departure of Aussie Brad McNamara.
Skipper Mark Griffin said: "We wanted a top fast bowler at the club and that's what we've got.
"Hamish is a quality player, and his record speaks for itself."
The Antiguan has spent the last two seasons with Central Lancashire League outfit Littleborough.
Australian Cricket Board director Malcolm Gray will replace India's Jagmohan Dalmiya as president of the International Cricket Council for a three-year stint from the year 2000.
