I THOUGHT money was tight just now so what is the purpose of these costly metal objects erected in Blackburn? If this is all the council can come up with in the name of modernisation; it would be better to save the money for a better reason than endangering the public, creating an eyesore and obstacles for blind and handicapped people.
The paving stones on New Market Street could do with some urgent attention. So, Blackburn with Darwen, look around and spend our council tax on real needs, not rubbish.
The crossing area to the post office on Ainsworth Street is still in a mess. Can't the council see what visitors see, including the half-empty market hall?
