Widnes Tigers 24 Rainford Rhinos 36 RHINOS made hard work of taming the Tigers.
But they scored a fine try when winger Andrew Potter broke clear, and sent stand-off Phil Bromilow under the posts.
Rainford scored two more tries before the break through Pickavance and O'Brien, all converted by Scott Pickavance.
But Tigers hung on gamely and grabbed two tries within five minutes of the re-start. However, a fine individual effort by Bromilow paved the way for Karl Allender to touch down.
And Rainford emphasised their superiority with further tries by loose-forward Chris Thair and substitute Phil Parr. The man of the match award, sponsored by the Bridge Inn, went to Karl Allender.
