CARAVANS come in all shapes and sizes - but this one is wheely tiny, in fact it can even be pulled by a mini!
At 2.5 metres by 1.5m and weighing in at 500kg, the new mobile home is the only one of it's kind in the country and is the brainchild of Bamber Bridge caravan repairers John and Paul McDonald.
The brothers came up with the idea after speaking to bubble car experts who said tiny homes were the in-thing in other European countries. So John and Paul set about designing and building a prototype at their business J and C Leisure on School Lane, Bamber Bridge.
And at a recent micro vehicles fair in Birmingham, the cute, £4,995, caravan received so many rave reviews the brothers are expecting a surge in orders.
John said: "The beauty of this caravan is that people don't have to change their car. It's that light it can be towed by a mini and even some bubble cars.
"It's aerodynamic and will fit on almost any drive. It's totally our invention. In Birmingham they were very impressed."
John said the caravan would soon be shown off at larger trade shows.
He added: "It's been our lifetime ambition to make something like this. It's a dream come true."
