A NEW ERA is about to begin for members of the Elim Pentecostal Church in Blackburn.
For not only have they just got a new minister, they are also launching a youth recruitment drive and opening a new extension to their building.
The Reverend Robert Clarke, who was inducted as minister at the Park Road church on July 19, is a former school teacher and is keen to extend the youth ministries of the church.
Mr Clarke, who lives in Chorley, said: "I am very excited about the possibilities in the future of our church.
"The new extension has been created solely to expand the church's youth activities and we will be starting a Sunday School which will run alongside the normal service and a creche at other services."
The extension was built by Philip Beresford, an elder at the church, and his son. The money for it was raised from donations by members of the congregation.
The annexe will be opened this Sunday (Sept 21) at 6.30.
