TRADERS objected to plans for a major DIY store development on the outskirts of Nelson.
Shopkeepers and tradesmen opposed the plan by B and Q because they said it would hit long-standing businesses in the town and lead to job losses.
Residents also expressed fears about the scheme, which included some housing, industrial units and a garden centre.
