THE Royal Air Forces Association is in the process of setting up a St Helens branch which will serve local members who may otherwise have had to travel to other towns for meetings. The branch have been running for two months and already have 30 members who regularly attend club meetings at their base in the Royal Naval Club in Volunteer Street. At present, weekly meetings are held every Tuesday from 8.30pm but when they have more members, organisers are hoping to arrange monthly meetings with additional social and charity functions. Anyone wishing to inquire about membership can call St Helens 754376 for details.
