THE success story is set to be marked of an East Lancashire firm which has grown from a corner shop to one of the area's biggest employers.
Time Computer Systems began life ten years ago in a shop on Granville Road in Blackburn.
Current chairman Tariq Mohammed sold an Amstrad computer in the paper and realised there was a gap in the mail order market.
Now the firm employs more than 500 people at its Simonstone base.
The company, part of the Granville Technology Group, has grown to become the UK's largest mail order supplier of computer equipment.
Last year the firm entered the retail market with the opening of a nationwide network of showrooms.
A series of events are being staged on October 15 to mark the firm's 10th anniversary at the Simonstone site and at the firm's new Blackburn showroom.
The guest of honour at the event will be Liberal Democrat leader Paddy Ashdown MP.
