A COMPELLING journal written from the heart by an East Lancashire authoress has been buried in a Royal Mail time capsule.
Mrs Benita Moore, of Rising Bridge Road, Haslingden, who suffers from cancer, won a competition by giving her ideas on how to fill the piece of history. She was presented with £1,000 for her chosen charity - the SuperScan Appeal.
The diary was sealed in a purpose-built steel box with a copy of the Lancashire Evening Telegraph, telling Benita's story story. Benita will be invited to unveil a plaque commemorating the siting of the capsule when the new terminal, at Warrington, is officially opened next year.
