TWO young men escaped serious injury when a car overturned on a country road in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Driver Andrew Newhouse, 19, of Bent Lea Road, Gisburn, and his 17-year-old passenger Liam Stratton, of Park Road, Barnoldswick, were treated at Airedale General Hospital, Steeton, for cuts and bruises before being discharged.
The accident happened at 1.30am in Gisburn Road, Barnoldswick, between Carr's House Farm and Crook Carr Farm.
Police said Mr Newhouse lost control of the Ford Fiesta on a left-hand bend and the car overturned. The Fiesta was extensively damaged.
