A PLUCKY teenager emerged as the shy hero who rescued a woman from her blazing house.
Anthony Height, 13, dragged mother-of-five Christine Carslaw from her home in Stanley Street, Accrington, where she had collapsed unconscious.
He quietly left the scene without claiming credit for his quick-thinking actions.
Mrs Carslaw was allowed home from hospital after treatment for the effects of smoke.
