ONE of the hundreds of motor cyclists at the Rossendale Motor Bike Show was injured in an accident during the morning cavalcade.
Robert Cook, 40, of Templand, near Lockerbie, Dumfries, came off his Kawasaki 750 machine when a rider in front braked.
Another rider, Mick Nairn of Brydekirk, Annan, Dumfries, fell from his Honda 500 machine and came down on the other rider.
Mr Cook was taken to Bury General Hospital suffering from injuries including three broken ribs, cuts and bruises to his head and arms.
His condition today was described as serious.
The cavalcade was travelling at what police described as a slow speed on the Haslingden by-pass at 11.35am yesterday when the accident happened.
