I HAVE just read the article on the Darwen Tower replicas going on sale.
I am a regular reader of the Evening Telegraph and the Blackburn Citizen by way of the Internet.
I left Blackburn in 1963 to live in Canada. I return often to visit the Blackburn area, taking my two daughters and now my grandchildren.
I always point out Darwen Tower to them, explaining that before leaving for Canada, I loved to walk up to it.
My visits to Darwen Tower have been one of my fondest memories of my childhood, youth and early manhood.
I would love to have the opportunity to buy one of the tower replicas.
