COUNCIL staff have been going back to school this month.
A team of 11 from Burnley Council has been taking part in a project aimed at improving the job prospects of local students.
Under the monitoring scheme, run by the East Lancashire Education Business Partnerships, staff go into a school on a regular basis to talk with an individual student.
The idea is that they can offer advice and give the student the chance to talk to someone away from the school or home environment.
Other East Lancashire employers which have already taken part in scheme include Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury and Groundwork Trust.
