A CAT lover is to give their favourite pet the purr-fect present - a diamond-studded collar worth £11,500!
The buyer, who is remaining anonymous, has ordered the sparkler through an Accrington pet store.
The collar for a long-haired cat is now being created by a jeweller in Manchester.
Staff suspected a hoax when the initial inquiry was made at Petcentric's Church Street shop whose where Sarah Booth said: "The person had seen our diamante range in the shop and wanted to know if a similar collar was possible but using real diamonds.
"When the initial inquiry was made we suspected it might not be genuine. It has become apparent it was a serious inquiry and has now turned into an order."
