A TRANSPORT manager was taking to the road on a mercy mission to strife-torn former Yugoslavia. Barry Hartley of Rossendale was one of four volunteers who aimed to bring back 60 refugees from Bosnia.
They were to set off in a Leyland Leopard coach loaned by the company where Barry worked, Barnett and Graham haulage contractors of Manchester Road, Haslingden.
