HELMSHORE Royal British Legion has received a commemorative plaque to mark its 75th anniversary.
But the presentation by the Mayor and Mayoress of Rossendale, Coun Peter Heyworth and his wife, Lynn, has left the branch in a quandary as to where the plaque should be displayed.
Following the closure of the Legion Club 18 months ago, the branch committee has been meeting monthly at the Station Hotel.
Treasurer Alan Woods said: "At the moment we have not decided where we should put the plaque, but I am sure we will find a suitable home for it.''
He added: "Although we no longer have a club we remain a small but effective branch dealing in fund-raising and welfare work on behalf of ex-servicemen and their families.''
