STRIKER Andy Kiwomya has returned to Bradford City after an unsuccessful loan spell at Turf Moor.
The forward arrived from Valley Parade last month and made his debut in the 0-0 home draw with Oldham Athletic.
But since then he has been unable to command a regular first team place and now player-manager Chris Waddle has decided not to pursue another loan request for the 30-year-old.
Waddle said: "Andy did a job for us when we were short of players because of injury, but I am not going to ask Bradford for a second month.
"I spoke to Andy last night and explained the situation to him.
"I said that I could not guarantee him first team football at present and he, understandably, was keen to cement a first team place.
"I can understand his feelings but I had to make a decision."
Meanwhile, Waddle is likely to be without defender Steve Blatherwick for about a month.
Blatherwick had knee surgery over the weekend and is unlikely to be back in action before the home game with Bournemouth on October 25. Waddle added: "Luckily it was only keyhole surgery so his recovery should be a lot quicker.
"Steve will have to be right before we get him back in the picture.
"We are certainly not going to rush him back and run the risk of losing him for a further period."
Blatherwick has not featured in Waddle's team since the 4-0 Coca-Cola Cup defeat to Stoke City at Turf Moor on September 16.
Waddle, though, is still chewing over the possibility of offering Gerry Creaney a contract.
The striker has impressed Waddle since he arrived on loan from Manchester City, producing his best performance at Brentford.
"I'm very pleased with his contribution so far and he has to keep it going," said Waddle.
"He has an abundance of talent and some of his link-up and approach play at Brentford was first-class.
"We will just have to see what happens at the end of the month. The major stumbling block could be wage demands because Manchester City are a club who are virtually paying Premiership wages."
Burnley reserves produced an excellent performance to beat Sheffield United reserves 4-0 at Bramall Lane last night.
