HYNDBURN is a thriving centre for space cadets!
According to members of the Lancashire UFO Society, Hyndburn is the place to visit for any budding men in black on the lookout for any mysterious sightings which could make an X-file.
Tim Matthews, a UFO author, said: "There are some major hot-spots in this county and the number of sightings are going up all the time. "The moors of East Lancashire have always been a UFO hotbed.
"Some of the reports can be explained away quite easily, but others are just out of this world."
Last year, Chorley man Phil Topping spotted an alien craft hovering over the Hyndburn area. He said: "It was totally still, with just little red and green lights flashing."
Phil, who has a video tape recording of the sighting, said: "After about two hours hovering over Hyndburn, it flew off towards Iceland."
