LEIGH RU missed out on victory at Fleetwood as Bullough missed a couple of late long-range penalties.
In the end they had to settle for a 23-23 draw.
A fine try from Jim Bridge, with an early Bullough drop, gave Leigh the edge, then Brown swooped for a try, Bullough goaling, for a 15-9 interval lead.
Another Bullough goal plus a try by Fletcher had Leigh coasting but the home side hit back to level.
Leigh A won 32-23 at Fleetwood, beginning well with a try from Mark Downs. But Higson's penalty was their only other score in the first half.
They cut loose after the break with tries from Downs, Thompson, Pownall and Green. Then Leigh fell asleep!
Leigh Tofts beat Sedgeley Park 22-7 with tries by Harrison, Smith, Gareth Norman, Villiers and Leake.
Leigh Minis and Juniors . . . U13s beat West Park 24-22 in a thrilling display for a first away of the season (Orrell 2, Wingfield, Johnson with super shows from Pennington and Leake); U9s played in a tournament at Fleetwood, losing 5-0 to the home side and 40-0 to Vale of Lune, beating Tarleton 10-5 (Woods, Andrews; fine performance from Paul Trumble).
TYLDESLEY RU found it tough going at newly-promoted Blackpool, going down 22-14.
Two penalties from Dave Sivill plus a Cunliffe try following dogged persistence kept Tyldesley in the picture.
And soon after the break they were level at 14-14 when Sivill added a third goal.
But the homesters put the pressure on and went clear on an unconverted try before a drop goal clinched it.
On Saturday (3pm) Cumbrian side Vickers are at Well Street for what should be one of the toughest games of the season.
ATHERTON RU scored a thrilling 22-15 win against Preston Grasshoppers.
A penalty from Ian Lysons got Atherton going before they came up with a peach of a try, winger Martin Dickinson rounding off a super move as he crossed in the corner.
Paul Hankinson set up a second TD, jinking through for Ben Sutton to take the pass and score. And Sutton swept in for No 3, a superb solo effort after kicking through and collecting.
Back came Preston with the game still in the balance. But Hankinson's second try ensured the points.
