A MAN walked into an off-licence, asked for some sweets and grabbed the contents of the till.
The incident took place at Bargain Booze, in Clock Face Road, at about 9.40pm on Monday, September 22.
The thief walked up to the counter, asked for some sweets and handed over the money. But as the cashier opened the till he reached over the counter and grabbed the drawer.
The assistant tried to force the drawer shut, but he managed to stop her and stole the contents before running from the shop.
The offender was white, aged about 19 years, and 5ft 5in tall with a slim build and skinhead hair cut.
Police believe that a second man, who was seen at the door of the shop, may also have been involved. He was white, about 22 years old and was wearing a red baseball cap.
