ST HELENS Down's Syndrome Group is £200 better off - thanks to high-stepping pupils of Winburn School of Dancing.
Talented members of school staged a special charity show at the St Helens Theatre Royal. Entitled 'On the Move', the production featured dances dedicated to different modes of travel and included routines to 'Yellow Submarine' and 'The Great American Railway'.
School principal Ann Burns is well known in the area, not only for her dance tuition, which includes children with special needs, but for her charity work. To date she has raised more than £40,000 for local causes. Ann is pictured here handing over a cheque for £228 - proceeds of this year's show - to Michael Daw, who took part and received the money on behalf of the group.
THE St Helens Down's Syndrome Group are holding a Fashion Show in Whiston Hospital Social Club at 7.30pm on Wednesday, October 29 to raise funds. If you would like tickets or want to know more about Down's Syndrome and how the group can help, you can contact chairperson Angela Williams on St Helens 885898 or secretary Keith Daw on 0151 426 2373.
