The reply given by Councillor Knight that he was just helping a confused candidate to your reporter raises more questions than it answers. Here are just a few:

has he explained his actions to the M.B.I candidate and agent in Alexandra ward?

what did they, and all other M.B.I councillors think of him helping a rival candidate?

how did Councillor Knight explain and convince those who he got to nominate the so-called 'Labour' candidate?

as a leading, and before this fiasco, respected M.B.I councillor, how on earth did he ask for the signatures - did he ask M.B.I supporters or Labour party supporters - and how did he convince then to sign - how did he explain his actions?

The electors of Alexandra ward deserve the truth, with out that how can anyone trust an M.B.I candidate ever again? Councillor Knight should seriously consider his position as a councillor, and M.B.I candidates M. Wilson should state his position on Councillor Knight's actions.
