HERE come the clampers and car crushers - waging war from next month on the 37,000 road tax dodgers in Lancashire.
The prospect of people losing their cars and being hit with fines of up to £1,000 for lack of a £145 tax disc may seem grim and harsh.
Yet the stiff sanctions that are coming into force as the car clampers, tow-away squads and car crushers are unleashed are just what is needed.
For tax disc cheats are costing the country £175million a year.
In reality it is the honest motorists and firms who are being robbed.
Let the dodgers feel the pain instead.
