AGE Concern Hyndburn has praised the Citizen's front page coverage of its Safe and Warm Campaign - which offers free advice to the borough's elderly folk - after a record response.
Chief executive Barbara Hopkinson said more people than ever before have enquired about the service since it appeared in the Accrington and District Citizen.
She added: "We have been amazed by the response to the article. The telephone hasn't stopped ringing."
The Safe and Warm Campaign provides free energy-saving advice to the borough's elderly residents. To make an appointment for a trained volunteer to visit your home contact Age Concern Hyndburn on 01254 871010, or call at the Whalley Road branch.
