I REFER to the recent article relating to Mark Hale, Labour candidate for the coming Hope Carr by-election.
I must say that he is being extremely presumptuous by promising a Lowton surgery 'when' he is elected (not if). Does he assume that he has already won?
I would warn Mark Hale that Xanadu has aroused deep feelings within the Hope Carr ward and the complete lack of any kind of support from our current Labour representatives has angered many people who have given them their support over the years. Beware Mark, we will have our say at the ballot box and the outcome is by no means a foregone conclusion.
And could he explain how he is a a member of Greenpeace and yet (by backing Xanadu) condone the pollution and destruction of wildlife and green areas which will be caused by this development?
