LAURA Potts from Leyland, Preston, lived the dream of football fans all over the world last week when she played football on the hallowed turf of Wembley Stadium thanks to Coca-Cola.

The 18-year-old joined 179 other lucky boys, girls, men and women at the Venue of Legends after winning a Coca-Cola Great Britain off-pack promotion.

Following a night's stay in a top hotel, the winners were taken to Wembley Stadium in a team coach just like all the other teams that have graced the Wembley pitch before.

They were split into 21 teams representing different footballing nations from around the world and were managed and coached by England stars Rio Ferdinand, Martin Keown and John Scales.

As well as being a sponsor of the 1998 World Cup, Coca-Cola is also official supporter of the England team and current Spurs and England star John Scales said of playing at the famous stadium: "The first time I played at Wembley was a great experience, like a dream come true. By the looks on their faces, the kids here feel the same way."

The lucky 180 were also able to change into kit in the player's dressing room, run out of the players tunnel and climb the famous 39 steps to the Royal Box - emulating England's World Cup winning side of 1966.

After the match all of the players received a commemorative medal from one of the England stars and finished off a memorable weekend with a ten-pin bowling session at the Wembley Bowl.
