THERE is plenty of life in Howe Bridge Aces.
The club's swimmers continue to impress at the Central Lancashire Warburton Galas and some thrilling matches in the Junior Swim League.
At the Warburtons there were firsts for Peter Hutchinson (10-Year 50 butterfly), Jane Bithell (11-Year 100 butterfly), Heather Parker (14-Year 200 individual medley), Lisa Simms (16-Year 50 backstroke) and, in record time, Michaela Carmen (14-Year 50 breaststroke).
Seconds: Peter Hutchinson (10-Year 50 freestyle), Ben Hancock (13-Year 50 butterfly).
Thirds: Chris Atherton (13-Year 200 IM), Heather Parker (14-Year 50 breaststroke).
Fourths: Paul Longmire (11-Year 50 breaststroke), Ben Hancock (13-Year 100 backstroke and 200 IM), Isen Hill (14-Year 100 freestyle).
Fifths: Katie McCarthy (12-Year 100 breaststroke), Heather Parker (14-Year 100 freestyle).
Sixth: Hayley McCulloch (13-Year 200 IM).
Plus good swims from Amy Lingard, Leah McCulloch, Kirsty McNamara and Louise Simms.
In the Junior Swim League there were great derby thrillers against Tyldesley, winning 55-51, and Atherton, drawing 54-54.
