UNIFORM firm Simon Jersey has won two categories in an industry awards scheme.

The Altham-based firm won the leisure and manufacturing categories in the British Clothing Industry Association Career and Workwear Awards. The entries were designed by Helen Harker, 31, from Accrington, who has worked for the firm for the past 10 years.

Helen and company chairman Simon Moyle, were invited to a private reception attended by the Princess Royal following the awards presentations held in London.

Helen entries were outfits designed for a male tour guide and a female garment machinist.

Simon Jersey, which supplies clothes for business and industry worldwide, now holds seven of the prestigious design awards.
