STAFF at Burnley Tourist Information Centre have won praise for their friendly and helpful service to visitors.
The centre, based at the Mechanics, has been awarded a service standards award by the English Tourist Board and the North West Tourist Board.
Thrilled information manager Jacqueline Whitaker said: "I'm delighted to receive the award.
"The staff at the TIC pride themselves on the quality and high standard of service which is vital to welcome visitors to our region."
An off-shoot of the award is that the centre is linked to a support service network of the North West Tourist Board to promote the area.
