PUPILS of all cultures and backgrounds joined forces for a religious week at Ashton High School, Preston.
Children were asked to contribute their ideas and feelings to make up a special Chain of Hope to hang throughout the school on Aldwych Drive. Links of paper were joined together, showing each individual's aims and aspirations for the future.
They also wrote about their faiths, putting their thoughts down on piles of paper shapes for a Tree of Beliefs displayed in school
Busy year seven pupils spread a little happiness by raising £900 to buy three Easi-reader machines for local partially-sighted people.
The machines magnify print on a page, displaying it on a TV screen. They were presented to Preston's Blind Welfare Society based in Penwortham.
The pupils took on a variety of challenges to raise the cash, including a sponsored run, cake sales and bike rides.
