A BIG thank-you to the people of Blackburn for making the opening of the Cancer Research Campaign's new shop such a success.
We opened on October 8 and, on our first day, we took an amazing £1,200 and, in our first week of trading, a massive £3,305.
The profits from this and all our shops go into pioneering cancer research projects both here in the North West and across the country.
Everyone has a reason to support the campaign because we aim to give hope of recovery to the one in three of us who will develop cancer. Our scientists are engaged in top 'alpha'-rated projects at the cutting edge of cancer research.
But none of this work is done without the help of the public because the campaign does not receive government funding.
So if you can help by becoming a volunteer in our shop for a few hours a week, or if you can donate unwanted clothes, or if you can come in and buy some of our quality stock, you will be making an invaluable and worthwhile contribution and you will also be helping to make cancer history.
