THREE major successes at Burnley's Walshaw High School were outlined to parents and past pupils at a prize evening.
Head teacher Mrs Lila Towers, said the school had gained the Investors In People status, had a successful Ofsted school inspectors' report and won a quality award for its records of achievement.
She said: "The national award of Investors in People has provided us with a practical tool for the continuous improvement of the Walshaw organisation and the service it gives to its pupils."
The Ofsted report praised staff, pupils and their parents and said: "Pupils' attitudes, behaviour and personal development are of a very high standard. It bears witness to the overall quality of parental support for the aims and values of the school."
Mrs Towers echoed that sentiment and thanked the parents for their support over the last five years. She celebrated the achievements of the 'superb' year group 1992-7 and also reminisced on events of the year and concluded by wishing them every success in the future.
