MORPETH Town manager Peter Feenan has warned Burnley: "You will not get our player on the cheap."
White-hot goalscorer Kevin Henderson arrives at Turf Moor tomorrow at the start of three-day trial which should see the 22-year-old playing for Burnley Reserves against Stockport County on Wednesday.
Burnley have kept a close watch on the non-league scoring sensation who has netted an astonishing 17 Northern League goals so far this season.
Feenan said: "I know both Scunthorpe and Burnley are very interested but it would have to be a good offer for us to let him go.
"The deal would also have to be right for Kevin as well because he works in a local building society and a move into full-time football would represent a risk for him."
Clarets player-manager Chris Waddle also hopes to take another look at Trinidad and Tobago forward Keith Fletcher next week. He played for an hour in the recent reserve team fixture against Barnsley at Turf Moor and his performance left Waddle 'very impressed'.
"We hope to bring him in for another game and then see what develops from there," said Waddle.
Meanwhile, Waddle has confirmed that Gerry Harrison remains on the transfer list, despite a series of storming performances since his recall to the first team squad last month.
Waddle observed: "Gerry has done really well and I'm more than pleased with his contribution.
"I know Gerry prefers to play a more defensive role but I honestly believe that midfield is his best position in the side.
"He is a good footballer with a nice technique and over the past few months he has proved he is worth a place.
"But Gerry is like the rest of the squad. I cannot guarantee anybody first team football and I want fierce competition for places throughout the club."
