ELECTRONICS workers at the Philips plant in Blackburn were to be made redundant.
A total of 35 people were to lose their jobs in the delay line assembly area of the Whitebirk components factory, which made parts for televisions and other electrical goods.
The jobs were being shed because the company wanted to increase the level of automation in the delay line area.
