A CHANCE for small firms to get their foot in the door at some of Britain's biggest companies is on offer.
The East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce is organising a Meet the Buyer exhibition at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel on January 22 to give firms the opportunity to meet buyers on a one-to-one basis.
"We know the problem of selling is gaining the initial entry and with some of the larger organisations this is nearly impossible," said Kathryn Czaja, commercial director of the Chamber.
"We're offering to take the hard part out of it and guarantee you a fair hearing on a one-to-one basis with the people they want to sell to."
Peter McCabe, of Cobble Blackburn, was overwhelmed with the response his company received at a pilot Meet the Buyer event held at the Chamber's May exhibition.
"During the working week we have to concentrate on our main activities with the focus being on our current suppliers,' said Peter.
"The Meet the Buyer forum presented us with the opportunity to review local supplier capabilities."
