FYLDE libraries will fly the flag for National Libraries Week with an airborne banner and a host of events to publicise their services.
Balloon launches, school visits, health promotions, quizzes and author talks will also push home the message to make more use of local libraries.
The banner, declaring Lancashire County Library - NLW - Nov 3 to 9, will be towed by a plane launched at Blackpool Airport on November 1 at 11am, with St Annes prize-winning author Audrey Howard and library officials to see it off.
Two main themes will dominate the week, Navigate Your Way to Your Local Library and Get Healthy with Your Local Library.
And a Schools Book Quiz will be launched at Blackpool Central where readers can vote for their favourite author as part of the tenth anniversary celebrations of BBC Radio Four's children's book programme Treasure Islands.
Activities will be held at individual libraries between November 3 and 9. Children's storytimes are planned at Anchorsholme, Ansdell, Bispham (under fives), Fleetwood, Highfield, Lytham (under fives), Poulton, Revoe, St Annes, Cleveleys and Thornton.
For the adults there are local history quizzes in Wyre while at St Annes you can chat to Audrey Howard during a meet-the-author session.
Displays also form part of the week's activities, including a joint promotion between Anchorsholmne, Clevleys and Thornton at Safeway supermarket in Cleveleys on November 5.
Health issues are also dealt with, including a talk by a chemists and complementary therapist at Revoe on November 6 and a health book display at South Shore.
