A ST HELENS-born professional boxer will be bidding for title glory tonight (Thursday).
Stuart Rimmer will take on Bobby Vanzie from Leeds at the Anglo American Sporting Club, Park Lane, London, for the vacant Central Area Lightweight Championship relinquished by Manchester's Wayne Rigby.
Manager Pat Dwyer believes the contest could be a stepping stone to further glory for Stuart who comes into the bout on the back of an impressive stoppage of Rocky Ferrari in Glasgow.
