I AM writing to express my disgust at your reporting of the Tony Aspinall wedding in prison (LET, October 22).
Far from condemning this outrage, you portrayed it on the front page as a 'happy families' party.
This murderer caused untold misery to the family and friends of Kevin Sudall and your coverage was insensitive in the extreme.
You be be ashamed and the least you could do is to apologise to Kevin's family for your indiscretion.
Little wonder that people question a penal system which allows convicted criminals these sorts of privileges.
K HOLDEN, Douglas Grove, Birchall, Darwen.
FOOTNOTE: We did not condone the wedding, merely reported that it had taken place, which was a matter of public interest. Would it have been better to keep it secret? - Editor.
